Replacement for CP SEND command Arthur Ecock CUNY http://www.cuny.edu/ Contributed by: Arthur Ecock CUNY/CIS (212) 541-0956 eckcu@cunyvm.cuny.edu These files make up the XSEND package. XSEND is a CP command written by Dick Newson of IBM Switzerland. XSEND is a "super" SEND command, without the following restrictions: - The target userid need not have SECUSER set (thus, the command originator need not be the active SECUSER) - The target userid need not be running diconnected - A class G userid may issue XSEND commands back to the same userid To assemble: VMFHLASM XSEND HCPVM Rename the text deck to something like XSEND TEXT, place this file on a CP Accessed PARM disk, make sure CP re-Accesses this disk, then issue the CP commands found in VERSION2 CONFIG. The commands in VERSION2 CONFIG may optionally be placed in your SYSTEM CONFIG file to have this command automatically installed at CP IPL time. Of course, all this is use at your own risk. It works fine for us, and has been for several years. We assume no responsibility, blah, blah, blah.
