I have some statistics for the use of CMS View and VM Gopher services in
March. (March is the first full month that the two services have had the
same set of information available.) CMS View is available only to CMS users
- either using their own userid or by logging on to one of the anonymous
View userids.  VM Gopher is available to CMS users and anyone with a
workstation with campus ethernet access and Gopher client software.  Our
Gopher server is also available world-wide through the Internet and
provides a convenient path to other servers by campus users.
 
The transaction counts are counts of menu picks - when someone picks an
item from a View or Gopher menu that is one transaction.  A transaction
could lead to a text document, a search, or another menu.
