IBM 9672 Parallel Enterprise Server

REMOVED FROM SERVICE 22 OCTOBER 2000. REPLACED BY MULTIPRISE 3000 H50.

The IBM 9672-R52 includes five processors, 32 channel (input/output) processors, one gigabyte of main memory, and about 200 gigabytes of disk storage using RAMAC. The 9672 has several tape and tape cartridge drives and has access to our StorageTek tape silos.

Printed output is available through two impact printers and an IBM 3800 laser printer in addition to numerous small laser printers available over the campus network.

We are running VM/ESA and OS/390 (MVS) on the 9672.

The 9672 went into production on 9 March 1996, replacing our IBM 3090-600J.



The 9672 uses our IBM RAMAC storage and has access to our StorageTek tape silos.
