UKID and SID NUMBER POLICY
 
All users must supply User Accounts with an UKID number or a SID number
if they are members of the University of Kentucky community; or with a
Social Security Number if they are not members of the UK community,
before an userid can be opened for that individual.
 
Any student that does not have a SID number, including students from
the English As a Second Language Department, should be referred to the
Registrars Office, Room 12A in Funkhaueser Hall.  The staff there will
assist the individual with being assigned a SID number.  After that has
been assigned, then User Accounts can open an userid for that user.
 
Any faculty or staff member must supply User Accounts with their UKID
number.
 
Any other user, one that is not a member of the UK community, must
supply User Accounts with their Social Security Number.
