MCVEY HALL FIRE ALARM
 
      When you hear the fire alarm in McVey Hall, it's very
important that you leave the building immediately.  We have no
way of knowing if the alarm has been set off accidentally or if
there is a genuine emergency until the fire and police and building
officials can make their determinations.
      The easiest exit from McVey Hall is through the front doors on
the first floor; you can reach the first floor by the stairs on either
side of McVey Hall.  Exits are also located at the sides of McVey Hall
on the first floor and on the basement level.
     Never use the elevator when the fire alarm sounds.
     As in any emergency situation, don't panic.  Just leave the
area calmly and in an orderly fashion.  McVey Hall fire alarms
generally last only a few minutes, but for your safety and peace
of mind, please cooperate by leaving the building.
