Norwood Hall

Photo of Norwood Hall (if available)

Norwood Hall was built about 1910 as the Mining Engineering Building and about 1931 it was named for Charles J. Norwood, first dean of mining engineering. It was destroyed by fire 12 November 1948. At the time it housed the Department of Botany and the botany laboratories and herbarium were lost. Norwood Hall stood just north of the Mining Lab and west of the King Library.
